B7.5 Admissions:
Del Mar College has an open admissions policy, in accordance with Texas Education Code 130.0011, that ensures that all persons who can benefit from post-secondary education have an opportunity to enroll. The College shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity/transgender status, sexual orientation), age, national origin, religion, disability, veteran or military status. Admission to the College does not guarantee admittance to a particular course or program of study. A student may be required to satisfy certain requirements before enrolling in particular courses of study. The College Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or designee shall develop procedures for student admissions. The admissions procedures, including academic calendars, grading policies, cost of attendance and refund policies, shall be published in the College catalog, on the College website, and other relevant College publications.

B5.50 Discrimination and Harassment Complaint Policy for Employees:
Del Mar College, in its continuing effort to seek equity in employment and act in compliance with federal and state law, provides a complaint procedure for the prompt and equitable investigation and resolution of complaints of unlawful retaliation, or discrimination and/or harassment of employees based on their race, color, age, national origin, religion, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status. Complaints of sexual misconduct (including pregnancy, gender identity/transgender status, sexual orientation), discrimination or retaliation may be found in the District’s Policy Prohibiting Sexual Misconduct B9.1. This procedure may be used by any employee of the College.
